Every figure, one page, no gate
Rates
What we charge, what changes it, and what is already included. The same published rate applies to every client in every market. There is no US price and no UK price, and no discount for asking twice.
3 engineers free now · all nine within four weeks
Hourly rates
By seniority and stack
Billed in fifteen-minute blocks against a weekly invoice. No minimum commitment, and no charge for the time we spend understanding the problem.
Migration and rescue work usually needs the lead band rather than the mid one. We will tell you which before you commit, not after.
Monthly engagements
Part-time, dedicated, pod
Same published hourly rate, bought as committed capacity: a named engineer, fixed days, and a bill you can forecast. Figures below use the WordPress row above, our lowest published rate at each seniority. PHP, CodeIgniter and WooCommerce sit $2-4 an hour above it and Laravel $4-6, so multiply your own stack's cell by 80 or 160. Rolls month to month with thirty days' notice.
Part-time
Eighty hours a month, fixed days. A steady half-developer for something already live, at the same rate as hourly.
- MID · 80 HRS
- $1,600
- SENIOR · 80 HRS
- $2,240
- LEAD · 80 HRS
- $2,720
Dedicated
MOST CHOSENOne engineer, full time, 160 hours a month, on your standup and nobody else's.
- MID · 160 HRS
- $3,200
- SENIOR · 160 HRS
- $4,480
- LEAD · 160 HRS
- $5,440
Pod
Two developers, QA and a PM. We own delivery, you own the roadmap. QA and PM are included, not billed.
- MID DEVS
- $7,400
- SENIOR DEVS
- $9,900
- LEAD DEVS
- $11,900
Fixed scope
Projects and audits
We do not quote a build price without discovery. Any agency that gives you a firm number from a two-page brief is padding it or planning to bill the difference back. Floors differ by silo: WordPress builds start at $8,500, PHP and Laravel builds at $9,500.
Code or store audit
A written report on what you have: risks, effort, and what to fix first. Yours to take anywhere.
Discovery & specification
Requirements, architecture, risk list, and one fixed build price rather than a range.
Fixed-scope build
One price, one date, a late penalty, and thirty days of defect warranty after sign-off.
Maintenance & upkeep
Patches, dependency updates, backups and monitoring. Critical fixes inside five business days.
Included as standard
What the rate already covers
None of these are line items, and none of them arrive as a surprise on the invoice. If a competitor's rate looks lower, this is usually the difference.
Project management and weekly reporting
QA, and senior review of every pull request
Documentation, runbook and clean handover
NDA, MSA and IP assignment on your paper
Onboarding time. You are not billed for week one
Replacement inside five days, with paid overlap
Not included
And what it does not
Stated here rather than discovered in month three. Anything below is either yours to buy directly or quoted separately before we start.
Hosting, cloud and third-party licences, bought in your name, not resold with a markup
Brand and identity work, logos, naming and brand systems. We design and build sites; we do not originate a brand
Content, copywriting and SEO strategy: the technical half only
Out-of-hours on-call, unless it is written into a retainer
Data entry, content migration by hand, and manual QA of your own copy
For brand identity and content strategy we will recommend someone rather than pretend we do it. That referral costs you nothing and earns us nothing.
Straight answer
Why we publish this at all
Almost nobody in this industry publishes rates, and the reason is not confidentiality. It is that a hidden rate can be adjusted per client once someone has judged what you will pay. We would rather lose the deals where we are the wrong price than win them by discovering your budget first.
The practical effect is that this page does most of the qualifying. If the figures work for you, the first call is about the actual problem rather than a fifteen-minute dance about budget. If they do not, you have lost nothing and neither have we.
There is a real cost to us in doing this. Competitors read this page, and clients who would happily have paid more now pay the published figure. We have decided the trade is worth it, and we are not planning to quietly stop: the review date at the top of this page is there so you can see when it last changed.
If we quote you something different from this page, ask us why. There are legitimate reasons for it, such as an unusual compliance burden or out-of-hours cover. Those should be named rather than smuggled in.
What moves the number
Five things that change a quote
- Seniority the work actually needs ± BAND
- A migration on a decade-old codebase needs the lead band. Ticket work does not.
- Commitment length DOWN
- Monthly is cheaper per hour than hourly. Six months booked ahead is cheaper again.
- Compliance and security burden UP
- HIPAA, PCI scope, a vendor security review or dedicated hardware all cost real time.
- Out-of-hours or weekend cover UP
- A rehearsed weekend cutover or peak-season on-call is quoted separately, in writing.
- How much your team can answer EITHER
- Half an hour a day from someone who knows the product shortens every estimate we make.
FAQ
Questions about the money
If yours is not here, email it. We publish the answer rather than saving it for a call.
Do you negotiate?
Not on the published rate, because the client who negotiated hardest would otherwise be subsidised by the one who did not. We will discuss commitment length, seniority mix and scope: all of which move the total honestly.
Do US and UK clients pay the same?
Yes. One published rate for every client in every market, invoiced in USD or GBP at your preference. We do not price by postcode.
When do I actually pay?
Nothing during the ten-day trial. After that, monthly in arrears for retainers, or 40% / 40% / 20% against signature, midpoint demo and sign-off for fixed-scope builds. Net 15 either way.
How do you take payment?
Wire, ACH or card. Card payments carry the processor's fee, shown on the invoice rather than folded into the rate. One invoice a month, itemised by engineer and hours.
Is there a recruitment or placement fee?
No. We are not a recruiter, and there is no fee for interviewing engineers, for saying no to them, or for stopping at the end of the trial.
Can we hire the engineer directly later?
Yes, after twelve months, with a conversion fee agreed up front in the MSA. We would rather write that down than pretend it never happens.
How often do rates change?
Reviewed once a year. Existing clients keep their agreed rate for twelve months from signature, and any change comes with sixty days' notice, never mid-project.
Why are you cheaper than a US agency?
Cost of living in Pune, and no sales team to fund. Not junior engineers, not shared across four clients, and not a rate that quietly rises once you depend on us. Our engineers are salaried at local market rates that are good ones.
Do you offer discounts for non-profits?
We keep a small amount of capacity each quarter for non-profit and open-source work at a reduced rate. Ask, and tell us what the project is. It is allocated by what it does, not who asks first.
What if we run out of budget mid-project?
Tell us early and we will stage the remaining work so what you have paid for is deployable. A half-finished branch nobody can ship is worth nothing to either of us.
